Music and Worship Ministry

"Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, sing and make music in your heart to the Lord." (Ephesians 5:19)

Mount Carmel Christian Church has an active and well rounded music ministry with opportunities for everyone in a variety of programs. A 50 voice worship choir, orchestra, praise and worship team, drama team and an audio visual team, under the direction of our Music Minister and Worship Leader.

Mount Carmel has a rich history of presenting musical/drama's such as Living Christmas Tree (30 year tradition). The presentation at Christmas is the highlight of the season for our congregation and visitors from all over the Southeast. Each year Easter Sunday is celebrated with the presentation of a musical drama retelling the story of Christ's crucifixion and resurrection. Each program offers opportunities for the non-musical to build sets, make costumes, work with lighting, and act as stage hands.

The Cherub Choir and the Mustard Seedz are the music programs for our young children. More information on these choirs can be found in the Children’s Ministry section.
