Mission Objective
The Christian Church Foundation for the Handicapped (Riverwood) seeks to meet the needs of persons with disabilities and their families.  Providing A Link has become the key phrase in all we do.  CCFH provides a link for persons with disabilities in five areas of their lives.  We link persons with disabilities and the community through public awareness and advocacy.  We link persons with disabilities and churches by assisting congregations with educational resources, workshop services, Vacation Bible School programs, and training materials.  We link persons with disabilities to people who care about them, such as their family and friends.  This link is provided mainly through our residential services, support and encouragement, and the vast resources available to parents pertinent to the well being of their child.  The fourth link CCFH provides is to college students who have a passion for working with persons with disabilities and their families.  Through this specialty program, young Christian men and women are graduating from college well trained to enter fields in disability ministry.  The final, and most important link CCFH provides is for persons with disabilities and their families to Christ.  All programs and materials strive to honor and uplift Christ.  These programs also focus on bringing the person with a disability or their family member into a close personal relationship with Christ.
