Christmas in 4 Words: Peace

Luke 2:8-14 by Art Stansberry
Series:Christmas in 4 Words
This Sunday we will focus on the message of the angel to the shepherds on the night that Jesus was born. The angel proclaims in Luke 2:14, "Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests." The birth of Jesus ushered in an opportunity for peace between God and us. What we will discover is that our sin puts enmity between the two of us, and yet, when Jesus died for our sins, the veil in the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom, signifying that we have an opportunity of peace with God. This Sunday we will unpack why Jesus really is the "Prince of Peace."
