Passage: Acts 8:26-38       Series Reach One More
Description: This Sunday we will continue our sermon series on the necessity of reaching one more person for Christ. Passage: Matthew 28:19-20       Series Reach One More
Description: This Sunday we will begin a new sermon series entitled, "Reach One More." Jesus called all believers to the mission of reaching one more person, one more family, one more friend. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus said, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." This Sunday we will look at how Jesus reached out to a woman in Samaria that was in desperate need of God's saving message. Join us this Sunday as we learn how we can reach one more.

Passage: 2 Chronicles 7:14       Series If My People...
Description: We read in James chapter five that God hears our prayers. However, we also see in Jeremiah 11:14 that God tells Jeremiah that he will not listen to the prayers of the Israelites. So the question that immediately begs to be asked is, "Does God hear us when we pray?" Who should pray? This Sunday we will discover that those humbled by sin, those who believe in Jesus, those that are godly, those who fear God, and those who keep His commandments should pray. If we feel that the Lord is not hearing our prayers, then maybe it is not His fault, but our sin that is the problem.

Passage: Matthew 6:5-13 & Luke 11:9-10       Series If My People...
Description: Did you know that exclusive of the Psalms, which form a prayer-book on their own, the Bible records no fewer than 650 definite prayers, of which no less than 450 have recorded answers? Did you know that the Jewish rabbis were in the habit of teaching the people outline prayers which were known as Index Prayers? They would gather together a number of short sentences each of which suggested an item for prayer. Therefore, when Christ's disciples sought instruction in prayer, He gave them an "Index Prayer" that can be found in Matthew 6 and Luke 11 ....

Passage: 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 & Daniel 9       Series If My People...
Description: We are beginning a new sermon series over the next 3 weeks designed to highlight the importance of prayer. In 2 Chronicles the Lord met Solomon in a dream and told the King that when the nation of Israel began to walk away from Him, and when He would send calamity and judgment upon the people that the first thing the children of God should do is pray and seek His face. In 2 Chronicles 7:14 the Lord said, "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." In many ways, like the nation of Israel, our nation is facing perilous times; calamity and judgment are upon us, and what should be our response? Our response should be to seek God, to pray, and turn from our wicked ways. This Sunday we will begin to unpack what we, as God's children, should pray. Join us as we study Daniel chapter 9 and learn from him, what our prayer should be.

Passage: Ephesians 6:10       Series Prepared
Description: This Sunday we will be recapping the Bible points of Vacation Bible School. These truths that our children are learning are ageless and are lessons that us "big kids" need to learn as well. This Sunday we will highlight God's mighty power and how He displayed His power in many ways throughout scripture. In Ephesians 6:10 Paul reminds us, "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power." What we will learn is that God has the power to provide, comfort, heal, forgive, and love us unconditionally.

Passage: Ephesians 6:18       Series Prepared
Description: This Sunday we will close out our sermon series on our preparedness for the spiritual battle that lies ahead. Even though Paul doesn't assign a piece of armor to the importance of prayer, we know that prayer is a vital tool for the believer in Christ. Paul writes in Ephesians 6:18, "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people." This Sunday we will highlight the substance and the power that is in prayer, and how we need to be in constant contact with our Father in heaven.

Passage: Ephesians 6:10-20       Series Prepared
Description: Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires." This Sunday we will talk about the importance of the Word of God. We will discover that God's Word is truth, that His Word has power, and that His Word is the ultimate weapon in how to live life to its fullest.

Passage: Ephesians 6:10-20       Series Prepared
Description: This Sunday we will study Ephesians 6:17 where Paul writes, "Take the helmet of salvation ..." The Greek word used for "take" really means to accept or receive. So what we will discover is that salvation is a gift of God that is freely extended to us. We will also learn that we accept this gift when we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Finally, as Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 5:8, when we accept this gift we receive "... the hope of salvation as a helmet." This salvation gives us hope - hope in this life and in the next. Join us this Sunday as we draw our attention to this wonderful gift of salvation.

Passage: Ephesians 6:10-16       Series Prepared
Description: This Sunday we will unpack Paul's analogy of the Shield of Faith. In Ephesians 6:16 Paul writes, "In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one." Our active faith, that James wrote about in his letter (James 2:14), can save us from the direct attacks of the enemy. These attacks can come in the form of fears, temptations, and even trials of life. However, Paul plainly says that our faith in Jesus Christ and in His power has the ability to not just defend us from such attacks, but can "extinguish" these attacks. So this Sunday we will discover the importance of faith and how we can build and strengthen our faith for the battles ahead.
