Passage: Ephesians 6:18       Series Prepared
Description: This Sunday we will close out our sermon series on our preparedness for the spiritual battle that lies ahead. Even though Paul doesn't assign a piece of armor to the importance of prayer, we know that prayer is a vital tool for the believer in Christ. Paul writes in Ephesians 6:18, "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people." This Sunday we will highlight the substance and the power that is in prayer, and how we need to be in constant contact with our Father in heaven.

Passage: Ephesians 6:10-20       Series Prepared
Description: Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires." This Sunday we will talk about the importance of the Word of God. We will discover that God's Word is truth, that His Word has power, and that His Word is the ultimate weapon in how to live life to its fullest.

Passage: Ephesians 6:10-20       Series Prepared
Description: This Sunday we will study Ephesians 6:17 where Paul writes, "Take the helmet of salvation ..." The Greek word used for "take" really means to accept or receive. So what we will discover is that salvation is a gift of God that is freely extended to us. We will also learn that we accept this gift when we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Finally, as Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 5:8, when we accept this gift we receive "... the hope of salvation as a helmet." This salvation gives us hope - hope in this life and in the next. Join us this Sunday as we draw our attention to this wonderful gift of salvation.

Passage: Ephesians 6:10-16       Series Prepared
Description: This Sunday we will unpack Paul's analogy of the Shield of Faith. In Ephesians 6:16 Paul writes, "In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one." Our active faith, that James wrote about in his letter (James 2:14), can save us from the direct attacks of the enemy. These attacks can come in the form of fears, temptations, and even trials of life. However, Paul plainly says that our faith in Jesus Christ and in His power has the ability to not just defend us from such attacks, but can "extinguish" these attacks. So this Sunday we will discover the importance of faith and how we can build and strengthen our faith for the battles ahead.

Passage: Ephesians 6:10-20       Series Prepared
Description: This Sunday we will continue in our sermon series dealing with the preparedness for the spiritual battle that awaits us all. We will unpack Paul's charge to have our "feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace." We will take a closer look at the gospel of peace and how we can be ready at a moment's notice to deliver this message to those that desperately need to know Jesus.

Passage: Ephesians 6       Series Prepared
Description: This Sunday we will begin to unpack the individual pieces of armor that Paul so eloquently laid out of us. The first piece of spiritual armor that Paul highlights is truth. He writes in Ephesians 6:13-14, "Therefore put on the full armor of God,so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist ..." I don't know of a time where truth was more under assault than our day in age. We see it in the media, it is prevalent in our schools, and even in some churches. So what are we to do? This Sunday we will learn that we need to study the Truth found in God's Word, that we need to stand on the truth of who Jesus really is, and that the truth really will set us free.

Passage: Ephesians 6:10-20       Series Prepared
Description: This Sunday we will begin a new sermon series centered around ourpreparedness for spiritual warfare. The Apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 6:12-13, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God,so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand." Paul uses this word "stand" several times in this passage, which is a military term for holding onto a position. This Sunday, what we will discover is that Paul is encouraging us to stand our ground against the spiritual attacks that are sure to come from Satan and how we can best hold our ground against such a determined enemy.

Passage: Hebrews 12:1-2       Series One of One
Description: This Sunday we will look at someone who really is "One of One." Jesus was perfect in everything: He followed the Father flawlessly; He taught with perfect authority; and He became the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Hebrews 12:1-2 says, "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." So this Sunday, as we celebrate the resurrection of our perfect Savior, we will be reminded to fix our eyes on the Him who really is "One of One."-

Passage: Hebrews 11:24       Series One of One
Description: This Sunday we will continue our "One of One" series by looking at Moses. What we will discover is that Moses is one of one, because he chose God's Kingdom over the kingdom of the world. Moses is one of one because he chose to please the Lord, even if it meant losing his own life. Finally, we will learn that Moses is one of one because he chose to trust the Lord for his salvation and communicated that salvation to others. So join us this Sunday as we strive to be one of one in this world.

Passage: Hebrews 11:1       Series One of One
Description: This Sunday we will begin a new sermon series entitled,"One of One." We will explore men of God who are examples of what it means to have extraordinary faith, extraordinary obedience, and extraordinary love. Over the next couple of weeks we will look at three men who were "one of one" of the people in their day. Ultimately, in this sermon series, we will learn what it takes to be "one of one" for the Lord where we work, where we play, and where we live. So join us Sunday as we look at the remarkable life of Abraham.
