COMMUNITY: Unity

Acts 2:42-47 by Art Stansberry
Series:COMMUNITY

In John 17 Jesus is in the garden praying for the unity of all believers, which is interesting, considering that his disciples had been arguing about who was the greatest not too long before. And so in verses 20-21, Jesus prays for his disciples and then prays for us by saying, "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me." This Sunday we will begin a journey to discover what Jesus meant by unity, how the early church was able to capture it, and how we can regain unity within the church today.
