Christian City

Christian City is a non-denominational, non-profit organization with a mission to minister to the spiritual, physical, social and psychological needs of families, with particular emphasis on children, the aged and infirm, by providing residential, health and social services according to the principles and teachings of the Christian faith.

Christian City began in 1961 when a group of concerned citizens from area Christian Churches gathered to discuss certain needs in the community. Since that time, the campus has expanded both in size and scope. There are more than 1,000 residents at Christian City which has now grown to more than 500 acres. Services provided include a Children’s Village, a thrift store, four subdivisions of patio homes for seniors in a “life lease” setting, four apartment complexes for seniors on limited incomes, a 200-bed rehabilitation and nursing center, a 200-bed assisted living/personal care home, and two specialty units for victims of Alzheimer’s Disease.

Christian Churches Disability Ministry

Christian Churches Disability Ministry (CCDM) serves people with disabilities and their families by providing quality residential care and by developing disability ministry resources. CCDM strives to enhance the lives of persons with disabilities in three ways:

  • Enabling others through training, resources, and encouragement to effectively minister with persons with disabilities.
  • Seeking partnership with individuals, churches, and other organizations to meet the physical and spiritual needs of persons with disabilities.
  • Providing a full range of services for persons with developmental disabilities including residential options, opportunities for social interaction, and opportunities for spiritual growth.

CCDM currently manages an independent living program, as well as two residential living programs for those with disabilities.

Jack Ballard Church Builders

To go where needed with input for design, planning, scheduling and manpower to build for God at little or no cost to our brothers. To date we have completed 95 large construction projects in 25 states and Canada. Since 1971 we have built Sanctuaries, Fellowship Halls, Class Rooms, Dormitories and many other buildings for churches and other Christian organizations. In 2009 we completed the restoration of the Mount Carmel Sanctuary at no cost to Mount Carmel except for the paint.

The church builders have projects each year. Check out their website or contact someone listed below if you would like to participate in one of their building trips. Ours is a gift of our talents and labor but we also receive a wonderful blessing of fellowship.

Lilburn Cooperative Ministry

Lilburn Cooperative Ministry is a Christian ministry serving the needs of individuals and families in our area, as well as the members of our supporting churches. Founded in 1994, we are an ongoing expression of God’s love in the community. We serve families and individuals in Lilburn, Stone Mountain, (Gwinnett County) and parts of Tucker (Gwinnett County) plus all members of supporting churches regardless of where they live. Our mission is to glorify God and demonstrate Christ’s love to others. As a Christian cooperative ministry we utilize community resources to minister to the individual and spiritual needs of those in crisis, and preserve the client’s dignity, encouraging self responsibility and spiritual growth.

Most of our activities are performed by volunteers from our participating churches. Matthew 25:40 NIV reads: The King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’ Would you consider donating some of your time to help in our community?
