Prepared: Stand Your Ground

Ephesians 6:10-20 by Art Stansberry

This Sunday we will begin a new sermon series centered around ourpreparedness for spiritual warfare. The Apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 6:12-13, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God,so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand." Paul uses this word "stand" several times in this passage, which is a military term for holding onto a position. This Sunday, what we will discover is that Paul is encouraging us to stand our ground against the spiritual attacks that are sure to come from Satan and how we can best hold our ground against such a determined enemy.
