Christmas in 4 Words: Hope

Luke 2:1-7 by Art Stansberry
Series:Christmas in 4 Words
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. But as much as we think of Christmas in terms of lights, tinsel, and gifts, I wonder, how we would describe Christmas to someone who has never heard? Over the next four weeks, we will look at the 4 words that truly describe Christmas. This Sunday we will look at Luke chapter two and see hope come alive as Jesus makes his grand entrance. I like the words that Luke chooses to describe the time before Jesus in Luke 2:1, " In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world." Praise the Lord we don't live in "those days" anymore; we have the hope of new life that is found only in Jesus. So join us this Sunday as we begin this new series.
