Passage: Luke 2:8-14       Series Christmas in 4 Words
Description: This Sunday we will focus on the message of the angel to the shepherds on the night that Jesus was born. The angel proclaims in Luke 2:14, "Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests." The birth of Jesus ushered in an opportunity for peace between God and us. What we will discover is that our sin puts enmity between the two of us, and yet, when Jesus died for our sins, the veil in the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom, signifying that we have an opportunity of peace with God. This Sunday we will unpack why Jesus really is the "Prince of Peace."

Passage: Luke 2:8-20       Series Christmas in 4 Words
Description: This Sunday we will focus on the message of the angels to the shepherds out in the field. The angel announced to the shepherds in Luke 2:10, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people." It seems that so many times, we approach our life with Christ in despair and gloom. Why is it that we sometimes look beaten down by life? This Sunday we will discuss how the birth of Jesus should cause us to live this life with joy and gladness. So join us this Sunday as we unpack the Joy of Christmas.

Passage: Luke 2:1-7       Series Christmas in 4 Words
Description: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. But as much as we think of Christmas in terms of lights, tinsel, and gifts, I wonder, how we would describe Christmas to someone who has never heard? Over the next four weeks, we will look at the 4 words that truly describe Christmas. This Sunday we will look at Luke chapter two and see hope come alive as Jesus makes his grand entrance. I like the words that Luke chooses to describe the time before Jesus in Luke 2:1, " In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world." Praise the Lord we don't live in "those days" anymore; we have the hope of new life that is found only in Jesus. So join us this Sunday as we begin this new series.

Passage: Luke 18:18-30       Series Call Me Crazy
Description: This Sunday we will wrap up our crazy sermon series. We will look in Luke 18 where Jesus calls a young man to give up the very thing that stands in the way of his total faith in God. What we will discover in our time together is the formula to the crazy faith in which Jesus calls us: Trust, Obedience, and Perseverance.

Passage: John 14:25-35       Series Call Me Crazy
Description: This Sunday we will unpack the cost of being a disciple of Jesus. In Luke 14:33-34 Jesus says, "In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples. "Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?" Doesn't it sound crazy that Jesus would call us to give up everything for Him? Yet, this is exactly what it means to be a follower of His. This Sunday is going to be extra special, so you won't want to miss it. Join us as we discover the crazy adventure of following Jesus

Passage: Luke 10:25-37       Series Call Me Crazy
Description: This Sunday we will unpack the kind of love that we are to have for our neighbors. In Luke 10, Jesus is asked to clarify whom we should love, and He replies with a crazy parable that would have totally shocked His listeners. Jesus first of all points out that love is an action word. He says to the scribe in this passage, "go and DO likewise." So for the disciples of Jesus, love is not just a feeling, but it is an action that is purposefully taken. Also, Jesus calls His disciples to love without discrimination. We don't have the luxury of picking and choosing whom we will love, but we simply love just as Christ has loved us. To the world this kind of love sounds crazy, but for the disciples of Jesus, these are our marching orders.

Passage: Luke 21:1-4       Series Call Me Crazy
Description: This Sunday we will begin a new sermon series centered around the cost of being a disciple of Jesus. In Matthew 10:39, Jesus says, "Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it." The cost of following Jesus is our way of life. In other words, He becomes more important than everything we hold dear, which to many sounds absolutely crazy. Yet, Jesus says that when we put Him first and pay the high price of discipleship, we will actually find a better way to live. This Sunday we will look at the crazy teaching of Jesus about how we should approach money, finances, and giving. So make plans to join us this Sunday as we launch our new sermon series, "Call Me Crazy."
