Passage: Acts 3-4       Series Disciple: Be One, Make One
Description: This Sunday we will look at how Jesus was able to unleash His disciples to literally change the world and how we can be unleashed to do the same. We will unpack the story of Peter and John in Acts chapter three. What we will discover is that in order to be unleashed to influence the world, it all starts with impacting one person's life. We will learn that we need to be ready to point others to Jesus. And we will discuss how we need to be strong and determined as we step into the enemies' territory. Join us this Homecoming Sunday as we strive to be unleashed into ministry.

Passage: Acts 16
Description: Moses had Aaron, Joshua had Caleb, David had Jonathan, and Paul had Silas. All of us need someone to walk with and lean on in this journey of life. We need people that can help keep us accountable, cry with us when we are feeling down, and laugh with us when we are happy. In this sermon we will discover that we can't do life alone, that we were never meant to be alone, and that we need people beside us in ministry.

Passage: Matthew 28:18-19       Series Disciple: Be One, Make One
Description: Elisha had Elijah; Joshua had Moses; John had Jesus; and Timothy had Paul. It is always important to have someone from which we can learn and grow in the Spirit. What we will discover this week is that in order for us to make disciples, we must be a disciple and be humble enough to learn from someone else. This Sunday we will unpack the need for all of us to be poured into by someone who is above us spiritually.

Passage: Proverbs 4:23       Series Image
Description: Proverbs 4:23 tells us that our hearts are the wellspring of life - everything we do flows from it. We are also told that out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks. The heart houses our attitudes and determines how we live. The heart is where our choices are made, and it sets the course for our lives. This Sunday we will explore how we can get our hearts right with the Lord and keep them right.

Passage: John 8:1-11       Series Image
Description: This Sunday we will focus on how we can exalt the Lord with our hands and with our feet. In John 8 Jesus is confronted by religious leaders with anger in their eyes and rocks in their hands. They had brought a woman caught in adultery and with their hands were about to stone her. We are told in John chapter 8, that Jesus, in the midst of this chaos, bent down and with his hands wrote something in the dirt. In John 8:7 we are told, "When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." The scriptures tell us that one by one each man let go of his rock and walked away. How do we make God first with our hands and feet? What we will discover this Sunday is that we have been called to serve with our hands and go with our feet to tell of the love of Christ.

Passage: James 3       Series Image
Description: In James 3:9-10 we are told, "With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be." This Sunday we will unpack what it means to make Jesus first in what we say. We will look at the dangers of gossip and other idle talk that can hurt others and hurt God's image. This Sunday we will look at how we can speak words of life into those around us; uplifting them and our Father in heaven.

Passage: Luke 10:25-28       Series Image
Description: We seem to live in a society that is so concerned about self-image - how we look and how we are perceived by others. But how often do we worry about how the Lord sees us? Jesus tells us in Luke 10:27, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind." We are to make God first in every part of our lives. In this new sermon series, we will ask the question, "How can I make God first in my life?" Specifically, this Sunday we will unpack how we can take our eyes off of ourselves and make God first in our eyes.-

Passage: Matthew 10       Series Fully Devoted
Description: This Sunday we will wrap up our sermon series on what it means to be fully devoted followers of Christ and His Church. We will study Matthew 10 and see how Jesus sent the twelve disciples out on a micro-mission to preach, heal, and minister to the people. This week we will unpack the importance of moving from behind the safety of the four walls of the church building and serving in our community. What we will discover is that to be a fully devoted follower of Christ, we need to be a presence and minister in the community where the Lord has placed us.

Passage: Acts 2       Series Fully Devoted
Description: This Sunday we will zero in on how fully-devoted followers of Christ seek ways to get connected to the body of Christ and continue to grow in their faith. In Acts 2:42, Luke writes, "All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord's Supper), and to prayer." (NLT) These believers sought after opportunities to stay connected to the body of Christ, even meeting daily. Maybe some of us don't have that kind of time, but it is important for all of us to seek out ways that we can get connected with other believers or create those opportunities. Also, we will unpack the importance of being a constant learner and student of God's Word. This Sunday we will discover that to be a fully-devoted follower of Christ we will need to be connected to other believers and we will need to make growing in the Lord a priority in our lives.

Passage: Matthew 19:16-30       Series Fully Devoted
Description: This Sunday we will continue tracking what it means to be fully devoted followers of Christ and His Church. We will talk about the importance of giving and serving the Lord. In Matthew 19 Jesus encounters a young man who inquires about eternal life and how to get it. Jesus, knowing this man's life, says in verse 21, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." We are called to buy stock in the Kingdom of God, not the kingdom of this world that we tend to establish. This week we will discover that when we lay down our kingdoms, give to the Lord, and serve Him, that we are laying up treasures in heaven that can never be taken away.
